Spools and risers
About the product
Spools and risers form the connecting link between different components within a wellhead or pressure line system. They extend the well structure, create space for valves or measuring equipment and ensure safe transmission of pressure or media.
Deep Drill supplies spools and risers in various sizes, heights and configurations, tailored to your installation and operational requirements. Our products can be used in geothermal energy, oil and gas extraction, CO₂ storage and salt extraction, and are supplied with flange connections, test ports and optional feed-throughs.
Spools and risers are available separately or as part of a composite stack. You can buy or rent them, depending on the application.

FAQ section.
What is the difference between a spool and a riser?
A spool is usually a short connector with flanges or stud ends to create space between components. A riser is an extension that connects the wellhead to equipment on the surface or to the next pressure stage.
What are spools and risers used for?
They are used to create space for valves, measuring equipment or torque tools, and to connect components across different heights or pressure zones.
Are spools and risers available for hire and purchase?
Yes, both options are available. Hiring is an attractive option for temporary setups or tests. Buying is the best solution for permanent integration into your drilling or production installation.
Are custom dimensions possible?
Certainly. We supply standard sizes, but also custom lengths and connection types based on your installation diagram.
What is included in the delivery?
Depending on the application, we supply the spool or riser including flange connections, seals, test ports and documentation.
