The Ram Blowout Preventer (BOP) is designed for immediate, mechanical closure of the wellbore. Thanks to its robust design with linear ram movement, this type of BOP offers maximum reliability in critical situations.
Deep Drill supplies both single ram and double ram versions, which can be used in a wide range of drilling applications in geothermal energy, oil and gas extraction and salt extraction. The rams are interchangeable and suitable for pipe- , blind or shear rams, tailored to your specific operation.
Our Ram BOPs come standard with flanged connections (pre-torqued adapters are optional) and, if desired, on-site assistance with installation and testing.

What is the difference between a Ram BOP and an Annular BOP?
A Ram BOP seals the well using two mechanical ram blocks that move horizontally. These provide a secure seal, for example during pipe sealing or complete shut-in with blind rams. An Annular BOP uses a flexible packer that forms around the drill string.
What types of rams are available?
We offer pipe rams, blind rams and shear rams – individually or combined in double ram configurations. Rams are interchangeable and can be tailored to your operation.
Can I hire a Ram BOP from Deep Drill?
