Heavy Weight Drill Pipe (HWDP)
About the product
Heavy Weight Drill Pipe (HWDP ) forms the lower section of the drill string and contributes to the correct weight on the drill head. Thanks to its greater wall thickness and increased mass, HWDP offers extra stability during drilling and reduces the risk of vibration and swaying.
Deep Drill supplies HWDP in various sizes, wall thicknesses and thread combinations, tailored to your application in geothermal energy, oil and gas extraction or salt drilling. All our HWDP is available for both sale and hire, complete with test documentation and final treatment.
Our pipes can be used in standard drilling configurations and can also be used in situations with increased drilling torque, extreme temperatures or pressure.

FAQ section.
What is HWDP used for ?
HWDP is used to add extra weight and stability to the drill string. It helps to optimise the weight on the bit (WOB) and prevents unnecessary vibrations.
Is HDWP available for hire and sale?
Yes. We offer HDWP in both forms. Rental is ideal for shorter operations or test projects, while sale is suitable for permanent integration into your fleet.
For what type of projects can this product be used?
Our HDWP is suitable for geothermal, oil and gas drilling, salt extraction and other heavy drilling operations. Even under high loads or torsion, the material remains stable and wear-resistant.
Can HDWP be supplied with hardbanding ?
Certainly. We offer various finishes and protection options, depending on the wear class and drilling environment.
What quality documentation is provided?
You will receive standard test certificates, serial numbers and optional inspection reports according to your project requirements.
